Geografía
Algeciras se encuentra en un enclave geográfico privilegiado, siendo puerta entre dos continentes y mirando hacia la bahía a la que da nombre, pero hay más. La localidad es una de las pocas de España que comparte su término municipal con dos parques naturales: el de Los Alcornocales (la mayor reserva europea de esta especie) y el del Estrecho (declarado por la Unesco Reserva de la Biosfera Transcontinental del Mediterráneo)

Esa riqueza natural sin igual se complementa con las dos principales playas de la ciudad, la urbana del Rinconcillo, tradicional y cercana a los distintos núcleos de población del sector norte, y la de Getares, que cada año recibe la Bandera Azul de los Mares Limpios de Europa en atención a la calidad de los servicios y prestaciones que reúne.

Algeciras is located in a privileged geographical location being gate between two continents and looking towards the Bay that gives the name, but there's more. The town is one of the few from Spain which shares its municipal with two natural parks: Los Alcornocales (the largest European reserve of this species) and El Estrecho (declared by the Unesco reservation of the biosphere Transcontinental del Mediterráneo)
This unparalleled natural wealth is complemented by the two main beaches of the city, the urban de el Rinconcillo, traditional and close to the various towns of the northern sector, and that of Getares, which each year receives the blue flag of the clean seas of Europe in response to the quality of the services and benefits that brings.
All of this represents a melting pot of natural attractions, with the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop, which make a unique place for Algeciras and that is worth knowing.
