Historia
Algeciras, la ciudad de la bella bahía, ha tenido un papel muy importante tanto en África como en Europa, por Algeciras han pasado muchísimos pueblos, entre los mas importantes estas los romanos, los árabes, los españoles.
Lo más destacable de su historia es el continuo proceso de construcción y destrucción de los distintos asentamientos que la han representado; así, la ciudad habría sido, al menos, tres veces abandonada y destruida: en el paso de la ocupación cartaginesa a la romana, de la bizantina a la musulmana y de esta a la ocupación española en la Edad Moderna.
